Eccelsa Aviation
One last “Arrivederci” to the Sardinia

What makes a great General Aviation building? Ideally, if you are catching a flight from Olbia or arriving in Sardinia, you want to spend as little time as possible in your transition from the ground to the air, and vice versa.
However, we know that often some waiting time is inevitable. Or perhaps you simply want to say a last “arrivederci” to the kind people you came to visit.
That's why in 2009 Eccelsa Aviation commissioned architect Fabrizio Vinditti and Archigroup to build a structure ideally positioned on the axis between full range of ground services and shortest walking path between your car and your aircraft steps.
Let's explore what you can expect.

Passenger Lounge & Summer Patio

Passenger Lounge & Summer Patio

Nestled between the most expansive view on the apron and the internal summer patio, you can enjoy the authentic Italian café service à-la-carte while lounging on comfortable leather seats. Stay in touch with your friends and family through your portable devices and complimentary wi-fi, check the news on satellite tv, or leaf through the latest edition of fashion, sailing and aviation magazines.

And if you are lucky, you might visit either a 1:1 reproduction of the latest Global cabin, or the real deal - entry by invitation only.
You may even book your private sailing tour at Smeralda Experience or explore some of the benefits of switching your aircraft registration to San Marino's T7.

Shopping

Never waste a good opportunity for some shopping. Whether pushed by the desire to kill some time or encouraged by your inner curiosity, you can try on the latest models of fashion eyewear, find out how you look with the newest additions of technical apparel by Kway, or expand your knowledge of Sardinia by discovering new food delicacies and art.
And if you are considering upgrading your aircraft, you can pop into Bombardier's for a friendly chat.

Italian Lounge Cafe

Italian Lounge Cafe

Don't you just love the comforting aroma of freshly ground coffee beans? And what about the classic Italian espresso with its bitter taste and creamy consistency? An art form that improves your day. Of course, you can opt for a foamy and rich cappuccino or an exotic chocolaty marocchino.
And if visiting before a meal, an appetizer is the way to go. From tangy green olives to spicy salami, to blinis and caviar, you'll probably be so enthused to stay for a light meal as well.

Particularly when the oven is on and the hot and fresh focaccia is being cooked to perfection before being served with the famous mortadella. Simple and authentic food that will make you feel a little bette

Art

Art

Have you noticed how some venues offer an art gallery? Well, At Eccelsa Aviation we turned the whole FBO into an art gallery. Stroll around the facility to discover pieces by Sardinian sculptors such as Sciola's Eye-Stones or InvisibleCities - inspired by the homonymous book by Italian genius writer Italo Calvino. Close your eye and listen to Sciola's Music-Stones - which emit sound when the wind passes through or when activated by another rock. Get close and mirror yourself in the metal surfaces of Helidon Xhixha's rounded sculptures. Get behind Sardinia tapestry motives both in their final state or in the conceptual states as depicted by Pietro Zedde in his giant and colourful geometric prints. Touch the smooth marble surface of Costantino

Nivola's mother- imposing and minimalist but also welcoming. Turn around Giampietro Manzoni's sculpture in the summer patio and notice how your mood changes together with your view angle.
And if you are an architecture lover, take in the design of the terminal. With its vertical pillars and rounding surfaces, it's a constant meeting of masculine and feminine forms. And the outside is a wonderful play of building tradition - represented by the yellow San Giacomo stones - and modern computer design - particularly visible in the wing-shaped roofs, or the industrial-design details of the Canopy and the entrance roof.

VIP Lounge Destriero

VIP Lounge Destriero

9 August 1992 the Pininfarina designed aluminium vessel Destrierocrossed the Atlantic Ocean in 58 hours 34 minutes and 50 seconds. With an average speed of 59,09 knots - or almost 100km/h - it's the fastest Atlantic crossing in history. The great engineering feat represents the will of Italian businessmen of the recent past to dare where nobody before them ventured.
In the spirit of celebrating and inspiring new daring initiatives, the VIP lounge and canopy are a first in Italian FBO design.

If you are looking for the highest level of privacy and comfort, and the shortest way from your car to your aircraft, this is the way to go.
A separate entrance to an exclusive area with dedicated border clearance will have you hop on and off your aircraft in 21 steps and 2 minutes of your time.
